I wound up in the second row at FCB rehearsal last night due to some weirdities in layout+attendance, which put me in front of the other saxes, which is *so* not where I'm used to sitting. As previously mentioned, yesterday was the Marching Band Exhibition at the high school. I got there, and discovered that I was Lead on Field Security. Woulda been nice to know that *before* I got there, yanno? And the rest of the field crew was rookies, as in they'd never even *been* to one of these shows. I have left my mark on Interlochen, so to speak. I have a roll of hockey* tape in my case (doesn't everyone?), and there was a problem with the mute pedal on the chimes. Thanksgiving Day was quiet here, and Friday we went to my mother's for dinner. A good time was had by all, and then it was time to drive home. On the fresh dusting of snow over freezing rain. It was slippy!, and it took us an extra 30 minutes to get home. But we did get home safely.
